It’s been a while since my last book for young ‘uns, and I know my daughter will be happy, for one, because she keeps asking me when she’ll be old enough to read Girl, Aloud (“in about five years” really doesn’t cut it with a six year old). Now available for pre-order from Amazon, these picture books, published by Parragon, will be available in the UK, US and Australia. I haven’t seen them since manuscript stage so the “sparkly surprise” really will be!

Josie, aged six, is a very particular little girl – as in, very particular about things going her way. She’s determined, occasionally bossy, loves competition, has left almost all of her babyness behind her but still has the odd tantrum when her high expectations are dashed (by anything from bad weather to her happy but troublesome little sister, Lily).
